Our Founders
Born and raised in Colombia during a time of profound violence, Andrés Villamizar and Gabriel Guerrero share a deeply personal commitment to protection, resilience, and service. Their families were forever impacted when their mothers — sister and sister-in-law — were kidnapped together by Pablo Escobar’s organization. These experiences shaped their lifelong dedication to safeguarding others.
Professionally, Andrés built a distinguished career in national security, protection, and intelligence, while Gabriel forged a path as a successful entrepreneur across industries including technology, hospitality, and innovation. Though their professional journeys were different, they shared a common vision: that seniors deserve to live independently, safely, and with dignity in an increasingly complex world.
Their inspiration also became deeply personal. Watching their mothers and other close relatives navigate the challenges of aging, they recognized the urgent need for trusted, proactive support to help seniors stay safe without sacrificing their independence.
Together, they founded Silver Shield — combining deep expertise in security and entrepreneurship to create a company focused on protecting health, assets, and freedom. At Silver Shield, they honor the past by standing guard for those who once stood guard for us.
